Guitar players of all levels use several tools besides their instrument, like tuners, rhythm machines, chord graphs and so on. Guitar Shed is a program that offers you almost all of these tools in one single, convenient pack. It features a guitar tuner that includes not only the standard, classical tuning, but many other open or alternative tunings, like open D, open G, several models, and so on. You can adjust the output sound according to your instrument. For example, you can make the program sound as a classical nylon-stringed guitar, or as a Jazz or steel guitar. Another interesting component of the program is the Chord library, which allows you to find almost any playable chord along with its fingering. You only need to select the key, and a comprehensive list of chords will appear. Then, you can click on any of them and the program will show the guitar's fingerboard with the corresponding fingering.
Maybe the best features of the program are the Jam machine and the Song Jam. The first is a rhythm machine that allows you to play along a series of preset rhythms like Rock, Funk, Soft and so on. The Song jam allows you to open any song stored on your computer and play along with it. You can select a loop which you can repeat as many times as you want to study and learn it.
You can use the demo version of the program only 9 times. If you find it useful and want to keep using it, then you will need to purchase a license, which is very affordable.
